Spade Design's 24 Hour Create-A-Thon


24-hour CreateAthon

Spade Design has become the premier CreateAthon partner in East Texas and is committed to donating creative marketing services to multiple nonprofit organizations throughout Tyler, Texas and the surrounding areas. Fee value of the work produced is estimated at $30,000; all provided at little or no cost to nonprofits that are selected. Additionally, Spade Design will help to secure donated production and media services from area printers, photographers, illustrators, broadcast production companies, and media outlets.

Winners will receive work from our agency at no charge. After interviewing the applicants, we select the winners, then develop, execute and launch a full campaign where everything is created within 24 hours. It is a lot of fun for our team members and it is one of the most anticipated events of the year where we all join together to give back to the nonprofits that continuously improve our communities. Frequently Asked Questions

How do you choose which non-profits you work with?
It’s a tough decision, that’s for sure. We focus on a combination of factors such as non-profit status, impact, location, and budget.

My organization is not a non-profit. Can I still apply?
Because of the tremendous demand, we limit the organizations we accept into our annual program to those with 501(c)3 status only.

When will I know if my application was accepted?
It typically takes 4-6 weeks from the application close date for us to process the applications and choose the lucky organizations. We’ll notify you using the email address you listed in your application.

Why 24-hours straight?
By eliminating distractions and focusing exclusively on charitable organizations, we’re able to get more done in less time. The Spade Design team thrives in this environment and we have a whole lot of fun during the process.

I do not work for Spade Design, but can I volunteer at the event?
Of course! Each year, we welcome many of our vendors and creative partners to participate. If that’s not your thing, there’s still plenty to do. Get in touch and let us know how you’d like to help.

I am a local business owner and would like to contribute to this cause, what can I do?
We welcome all the help we can get and every contribution helps. We have sponsorships available and look forward to partnering with other creative and local businesses. Since our team/volunteers will not leave during the entire 24 hour period, catering and caffeine would be a great help!
