First Things First
Items We Need To Get Started
Here’s an overview of what we need and a process overview to help guide you along before we begin!
Provide Onboarding Information
Please Complete This Form
Google Drive is a great online image/file sharing platform. This isn’t necessary for every project, but if you have more than 15-20 images for your website or if they’re too big to send through email or post on basecamp, we can use Google Drive. We can also use this to share important logins and credentials instead of sending through email. We may set up a folder for the project and will share the folder with you via email. You can upload all images and files there.
The Design Process
We’re Going To Be Busy
Designing a website, no matter how big or small, is an extensive process that can be overwhelming. To better help you understand what to expect during the design and development, We’ve outlined our process into 4 weeks.
These first 30 days is referred to as our onboarding process. During this time we will be doing research, planning the UX. andUI of the website, creating content, designing the website itself, and optimizing everything- including search engine optimization and conversion optimization.
Once the site is ready to go live, all unnecessary plugins, pages, images and backend files will be removed and we clean things up a bit. The new site will be backed up and saved locally to our servers, should it ever need restored. We will also be make daily backups for the life of the website, just incase something goes wrong and we need to restore.
Once the new website is live, and your domain is pointed to the server, it may take between 24-48 hours for it to pull up on some devices. Your browser may need to be refreshed in order to see the new site and caches may need to be cleared. In very rare instances, your internet service provider may have a cache of the website that may take up to 72 hours to clear (though this practice is not done as much these days).
Upon completion of our onboarding process, you’ll receive a link to the Moving Forward page where you’ll receive tips and tricks on what to do with your new website and also information on Maintenance and Security Plans (important for those that do not have a managed website service or lead generation website).
