What is a managed website service?

Our Accelerator Websites are a form of a managed website service. A managed website service is a web presence that is updated by a service provider [us]. Our Accelerator Websites free business owners from the sharp learning curve of web programming languages and complex content management, and graphic design software. All you have to do is leave feedback right on the website, through your dashboard or let us know by emailing support@spadedg.com and we will make it happen. It's that simple! 

Will you work with someone else in my city?

We have a commitment to your business. The better you do, the better we do.

We offer one website per 35k population of your business location as well as your targeted town. With a cap of 5 sites per 750k population.

In addition, we will not build a website of the same skin in your town. Once you choose a skin, that is considered a lockout for that style.

If you are in a city of 65k, we can create up to two websites. If its a town of 85k, it would be three websites max.

We understand some customers want exclusivity for their city, we do offer exclusive options for these scenarios. Exclusivity requires the Market Leader Package.

If you are a Market Leader customer, we will no longer accept websites in your town as we consider that a lock for future business as long as you are our client. Rest assured, we will never drop you as a client just to work with your competitor.

How do I pay?

Our packages will typically include a setup fee and a monthly subscription. The setup fee is paid at signup, online by credit card, or ACH.

Our system charges your monthly subscription automatically every month.

Custom websites require 50% paid upfront and are then billed with staggered payments, with the final payment made before launch.

Where is the small print?

Our full terms of service will be sent to you via email and will require a signature using PandaDoc. We are fully transparent, this is not a gimmick.

There is one caveat to this pricing and any imagery provided by Spade Design. When payment is not rendered for the monthly charge, we will initiate a takedown notice on your website. If the bill is not paid in 14 days, the website will go offline. A reactivation fee of $50 will be applied to turn the service back on.

Any images and SEO content is all provided by Spade Design, as such, are not available for you to use elsewhere for other purposes (ie: I like this picture, I want to print it on my banner). Spade Design owns the website content; as such, we do not license it for other purposes.

Is my website mobile friendly or mobile responsive?

Over 75% of website traffic will be coming from mobile devices. We design all of our websites to be mobile-friendly and responsive device-focused knowing that is our primary audience.

Does a website build include SEO?

All of our websites include foundational SEO writing, research and proper SEO building and creation technique (alt text, h1, meta descriptions, open graph). This is part of our website building process and is one of the reasons why sites we build rank so well.

On-going SEO, is a on-going management of technical and content adjustments to your website, blogs and google business profile. This is an on-going service beyond the website build and is included in your monthly fee.

Is this website built on WordPress?

Yes, and we would be suspect of anyone not building on WordPress. We have built over 10,000+ WordPress websites and have fully optimized our WordPress environment.

All of our WordPress websites are designed for high speed, conversion optimization, and google ranking. 

What if I need a domain?

No problem. It is our policy to not own your domain; it's also not in your best interest for anyone to own your domain other than you.

We really like GoDaddy and Google Domains for your domain purchase. The cost for a domain usually starts at $12 per year.

Once you have a domain, we will need access to it to setup proper records and point your domain to the website we have built.

When will I receive my website?

In most cases, your website will be ready to review in 15 days. One exception to this is the Market Leader package which will take 30 days.

What do I own?

We really despise companies that try to hold you and your content hostage to their system. So we do things differently from most web design groups. You always own your domain, even if we set it up for you, you always own it.  As for your website, the content like copy and images, is all yours too. To make ownership easy, we use an open-source system call WordPress. You can receive an XML export of all of your content anytime you wish. All you need to do is import it into your next WordPress installation. The only thing we do not give you is our Skin. These are proprietary, so you'll have to get a new theme or skin if you decide to go to another provider. the good news, is almost every modern digital marketing company and web design firm will have their own skins/themes to choose from. It's a simple and painless process. If you hear otherwise, you may be talking to an old-school designer who doesn't know about modern technology but we'll be happy to educate them.
